Goa's Badminton coaches Successfully Complete Grassroots Coaching Development Program with Badminton Association of India
Anjana Kumari, esteemed a prominent Goa State Player with international achievements including participation in the World University Games and a bronze medal from the Kerala National Games, alongside certified coaches Anup Kushwaha, Sadiq Attar, and Wilfred Jacques, have successfully completed the pioneering Coaches Development Program initiated by the Badminton Association of India (BAI). This transformative initiative, conducted in collaboration with REC Limited and the Sports Authority of India (SAI), aimed to foster uniformity in grassroots coaching and cultivate a robust pipeline of potential badminton stars. Held from March 8 to 18, 2024, at premier venues nationwide including the National Centre of Excellence in Guwahati, Prakash Padukone Academy in Bengaluru, Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, and Raipur, the program focused on enhancing essential skills and knowledge crucial for grassroots badminton coaching. The successful participation of Kumari, Kushwaha, Attar, and Jacques underscores their commitment to advancing the sport's development in Goa and beyond.
